A person stating that they don't care if God has a plan for them is unfortunately something that I have heard way too often. The problem is that they don't understand how their lives could really change for the better when they put God first in their life.
During day to day living when you don't pray for guidance, you inevitably end up in situations that make life more difficult to deal with.
People who despise advice are asking for trouble; those who respect a command will succeed. Proverbs 13:13
People that blindly go through their life living with their own decisions and direction are fairly happy for a while. But in this life, everything is always changing. It becomes easy to get discouraged when trying to solve the issues or situations on their own.
When going through tough times it is sometimes difficult to stay positive, even though that way of thinking is good, it is not enough. God has a plan and has always wanted us to follow it because He loves us.
The way to discover His plan is to:
Pray for forgiveness.
Thank and praise God for all His blessings.
Thank Him for the trials, because you understand that it is all a part of a much bigger better plan in the works for you.
Trust His perfect will for you.
Wait patiently. He will answer your prayers in His perfect timing for you.
Pray without ceasing daily, believing He will answer your prayers. One important thing to mention is that in order for God to become a real part of your life and change you forever is to become "Born again." It is so simple to do, but yet it is something that is so important that God really desires of all of us, and ensures eternal life in Heaven. It is called the salvation prayer which is confessing your sins and saying out loud to God you believe that Jesus died on the cross, rose again for your sins and desiring Him to live within your heart from now on.
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
After committing your life to Jesus, the more you trust Him with all your concerns and decisions, the more you will experience abundant joy. Then you'll wish you would have started trusting Him a long time ago! You'll begin to feel like you're getting a taste of Heaven in day to day living.
These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. John 15:11
God has a plan for you, so don't miss out on God's best for your life. By reading the Holy Bible and praying on a day to day basis you will find it easier to follow the path that God wants you to be on.
When you accept Jesus into your heart, the Holy Spirit will start guiding your life which will make it much easier to follow God's plan. You will start discovering the "new you" through His strength and it is very exhilarating!
